... and pepper sauce! Did you ever try corn flake crust ? Well, it is great for chicken or turkey but this time I decided to try it on tofu! It is a little challenging to make sure it keeps on tofu but as long as you press it slightly and break the corn flake to smaller pieces you should be just fine!
Ingredients:
300 g tofu cube
Corn flakes
2 eggs
2 tbsp low-fat natural yogurt
Marinade:
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp olive oil
5 tbsp low-fat natural yogurt
Pepper sauce:
3 tbsp marinated pepper
1 onion
2 tbsp butter
low fat sauce cream (I use Rama Cremefine 7%)
freshly milled pepper and salt
Mix all ingredients of marinade. Cut tofu cubes into slices and place in a bowl that fits the shape. Cover with marinade and keep for at least 1 hour. Mix eggs and yogurt, crash corn flakes slightly. Take out tofu from marinade, cover in egg and then in corn flakes. If they do not keep, press corn flakes slightly. Bake in 220C for around 20 minutes. In the meantime prepare the sauce. Chop onion, sautee it with butter slightly then add pepper. Keep it a while longer and add cream, milled pepper and salt.
