I made this baby yesterday for today's dinner.I have some friends over and am cooking so thought that this torte will be perfect for dessert.
You will need:
450g dark chocolate -I used 70% one
650 ml of double cream
4 tbsp of liquid glucose
2 tbsp of vanilla sugar
5 tbsp of brandy
Melt the chocolate over a boiling water.Just remember that the bowl you melt chocolate in can't touch the water surface.Add glucose and 3 tbsp of brandy.
Whip the cream with sugar till its stiff. Then fold slowly and gently chocolate and rest of the bandy.
Lay the 24cm cake tin with baking paper or cling film including sides.Pour the mixture in and put to the fridge over night.
When cutting use a hot knife .
The recipe is from Janes Martin book.He make it on the base of buiscuits.I prefer without.
The torte is very rich and not very sweet. You can always add more sugar or use milk chocolate.
